Admissions to the school is a three-step process:

• First, parents must click here to complete an ADMISSIONS APPLICATION -- once you have submitted your Admissions Application, you will be able to apply for Financial Assistance (see Scholarships for more information);

• Second, parents must provide all required documents and meet academic requirements; and

• Third, parents must call us at (718) 987-0200 to schedule an interview at the school

Following the interview and evaluation of the materials, parents will be notified about the admissions status of their child or children

All children born in 2016 who live in New York City are eligible to apply
to PreK For All for the Fall 2020 school year.

The Application can be done over the phone at (718) 935-2067, in person at 715 Ocean Terrace, Building A, SI, NY, 10301 or on-line at nyc.gov/prek. No UPK applications can be submitted to Saint Charles School. To be considered for the Saint Charles UPK program, please use the Saint Charles school code: 31RABM.

For the 2025-26 school year: Our online Admissions Application opens on December 3rd, 2024 for students entering Pre-K 3 and 4, and Grades K through 8. The earlier families complete both the Admissions and the Financial Assistance Applications (including all required documents), the sooner they will receive decisions regarding acceptance and financial awards (note: Pre-K students are not eligible for financial assistance).

For the 2024-25 school year: Admissions Applications can be submitted here. New students are continuously accepted.

For the 2025-2026 school year:
3 year old Pre-K: must be 3 years old by: December 31, 2025
4 year old Pre-K: must be 4 years old by: December 31, 2025
Kindergarten: must be 5 years old by: December 31, 2025

For the 2024-25 school year:
3 year old Pre-K: must be 3 years old by: December 31, 2024
4 year old Pre-K: must be 4 years old by: December 31, 2024
Kindergarten: must be 5 years old by: December 31, 2024
